As a lasting legacy of Iowa State University’s
Sesquicentennial celebration, the Chickasaw County Extension Council
dedicated a message and bulletin board near the entry gate at the Big
Four Fairgrounds in Nashua. The celebration was held at 5 p.m. on Monday,
July 9, in front of the new bulletin board.
Chickasaw County Extension Chairman Larry Tupper presented a brass plaque
to Big Four Fair Board President Dave Bucknell. The plaque will be affixed
to the new bulletin board. Other council and board members attending the
dedication included: Chickasaw County Extension Council members Larry
Tupper, Susie Anderson, and Annette Dietz plus Big Four Fair Board members
Dave Bucknell and Albert Hartman.
Earlier this year the Extension Council had donated copies of the book, “Tradition
